Geometric designs form alchemical recipes in this geometry-meets-witchcraft-themed shawl. Craft yarn magic by marling together two strands of fingering-weight yarn to make something more than the sum of its parts. All of the garter stitch diamond texture pattering of this asymmetrical triangle shawl is done on the wrong side so every right side row is a relaxing knit row.

Play with marling a variegated yarn and a tonal/solid yarn together to watch some really fun color interaction while you knit! It really feels like making yarn magic.

This is a very large shawl project but it flies by because of the very addictive garter stitch diamond chart. It’s also great for Knitflixing because every other row is just plain knit stitches!

Hello! My name is Gail and Dragon Thistle Fibers is my little corner store. I’m a small-batch dyer and offer a variety of colors and weights. I have put some holiday colors in my shop, including some sock sets in 50-gram skeins that come with a mini! Christmas Party, and Holly Jolly are just two of my holiday colors — come and have a look to see what else is in stock! I have other sets made up in a beautiful soft Merino/angora 80/20 mix. This really is a pretty, and so soft, wool that knits up gorgeously!

Have fun knitting these beautiful home decor projects this Christmas. No matter your skill there is a project for you – from my Nordic Christmas Mice pattern (a great one to start with if you’ve never tried colourwork before) to the Mini Jumper or Nordic Christmas Gnome. Like all of my designs, these patterns are enjoyable to create with beautiful results.

The Nordic Christmas Gnome pattern is the latest addition. For this design, I fully embraced my love of stranded colourwork and the result is a fun knit and beautiful gnome that will look gorgeous on any shelf. He also features a long, floppy hat complete with tassel and a soft natural mohair beard.

If you feel intimidated by the Gnome but would love to knit some Scandinavian-inspired Christmas decor then cast on the Nordic Christmas Mice. If you’re comfortable knitting, purling and working basic shaping you’ll be able to make these Mice! This 13-page pattern includes detailed finishing off instructions & tips for knitters new to stranded colourwork, ensuring you get the most joy from knitting your Nordic Christmas Mice. These little creatures are fun and quick to knit up!

Whatever your knitting skill level or available time there is a project for you in my Christmas pattern collection.

I’m excited to share two new cases and a bit of re-branding! The Knitter’s Book Case is now called The Original Case, and is joined by two new designs, The Flip Case and The Stretch Case. All three are exclusively offered in leather, with a wool felt lining in the Flip Case, and are now listed for preorder, closing November 9. (They’ll ship in early December to arrive in time for the holidays in the USA and Canada.)

The Flip Case stores up to eight needle tips, and has two pockets for cables. I love this design, because it really is so flexible. It can lay flat as an add-on inside your Original Case and transform into a convenient needle wallet by folding over. Thanks to a simple elastic closure, the fold line can move depending on the length of the needles you store in it.

The Stretch Case is inspired by classic pencil cases that strap around binders and notebooks. I started working on this when I was using my Original Case on road trips (sigh, remember those?) I really wanted access to my notions without having to open the whole case up – plus it allows you to store some bulkier items that don’t fit as well in the interior pocket of the Original.

The Original is offered in my usual Dark Brown and Deep Black, and a special edition Red. And just for this batch, I’m offering a custom embossed monogram in the centre front panel.

A Twisted Year’s End participant Anzula Luxury Fibers has teamed up with Lorna’s Laces, Mod Yarns, Mrs. Crosby Yarn, Slipped Stitch Studios and Tattooed Ewe to fill your December days with delightful treasures!

They’re offering several options, from snowy hillside jaunts to treks across the universe. There are gift-a-day collections to make every yarnie heart happy. Gift boxes come in three sizes, each of which are available in either Winter, Galaxy, or Sunset color themes. Surprises include yarn, project bags, notions, tins, pins and more.

It’s the perfect way to treat yourself this year, or to give as a magical gift to a yarn lover you want to spoil!

The days are getting shorter. The nights are getting cooler. The couch is getting cozier. It must be… SOCKTOBER!

We want to help you get some wool socks on those needles before the month is done!

For all of October, we’ve been offering a sock special: Buy one sock yarn, get another skein 40% off! Just enter the coupon code “sockz” at checkout.

Like all our yarns, our sock yarns are made from blends of undyed, naturally colored fibers. They are as follows:

MUSKEG: A soil brown yarn made from a blend of naturally colored Rambouillet Merino wool mixed with amber mohair hair locks. Sport weight.

ARKOSE: A blushing white yarn made from a blend of Rambouillet Merino wool, mohair locks and just a hint of cinnamon red Huacaya Alpaca fleece. Sport weight.

NEBELUNG: A matte gray yarn with warm undertones. The yarn owes its hue to colored Coopworth sheep wool blended with carbonized bamboo, a processed plant fiber with a natural steel gray hue. Fingering weight.

The socks pictured here are Woolfield’s Terracotta Socks knitted up from two skeins of Arkose.

The Socktober special ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on Oct. 31 — less than a week away! To be the first in the know about offers like this, sign up for our mailing list: http://eepurl.com/dPulFf

That’s all for now! We hope you have a happy Halloween with tricks, treats & warm, cozy feet.

Oh boy, everybody — it’s time to get your order in for the Fall Sock of the Season Club. Traci and I are hard at work getting this Harvest-themed kit together for you, and we’re really excited. Plus, we were able to collab with another special friend this time for one of the extras, and I know you’re going to love what she made for us! Haven’t heard of the SOS Club before? Read on for more info…

The Sock of the Season Club is a collaboration between Jilly & Kiddles Yarn and BritStitchery Designs. We offer a seasonal mystery kit, inspired by Nature. We spend a lot of time creating a curated package for you, and wrapping each item with care. I don’t know if my favorite part is putting the extra special goodies together for you or seeing your posts sharing the kits and your projects. Both make me SO happy! If you’re thinking about an SOS club purchase and aren’t sure what to expect, I’ve included some photos of past seasons’ kits. You can also check out #SockoftheSeason and #SockoftheSeasonClub for IG posts from customers who’ve received previous kits. You’ll get a good idea of what the club’s all about. I know you’re going to love it! And if you’re thinking you’re not a sock person, keep in mind that you can use fingering weight yarn for lots of things… mittens, cowls, scarves, hats. The world’s your oyster!

The Fall SOS Club includes:
–full skein of sock yarn in club exclusive colorway by Jilly & Kiddles
–brand new and exclusive sock pattern by BritStitchery
–TWO special surprise extras made by makers we know and love
–Free Shipping in U.S. (can ship outside the US for an additional fee, contact me for details)
–Invitation to Makers Social via Zoom on Dec. 5th to celebrate with us!

It’s a great value, and a LOT of fun to receive this special surprise kit. We wrap each item up, so it’s like getting a fab present in the mail that you can unwrap piece by piece! I can’t wait for you to join us. I’ll be closing these on Monday (unless they sell out before that) and starting to dye them up, so act now if you’d like one for yourself.

You can find this product on my website under Collections: Clubs and Kits in the dropdown menu. Fall 2020 kit ships Friday, Nov. 27th.

Join 22 of the best and brightest in the fiber industry for this two-day virtual fiber frolic. We will have vendors presenting everything from fiber and yarn to bags and stitch markers. Each vendor will have a 45-minute slot every hour on the hour to present their company to you. Each vender will be sharing with us some “tricks” of the trade. Whether it is introducing you to the animals that provide fiber or a dyeing demonstration, each hour will have something new and unique to share. Come learn how to wind a skein of yarn into a ball without a swift or ball winder! Watch a pottery demonstration. Come see something set on fire! And as an even more special “treat” the vendors have collaborated with a show color palette with special yarns and products available to coordinate your next project!

The date is this weekend, October 31-November 1 beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern time and running until 9 p.m. both days. We hope to see you there!
