We are a mother and daughter indie dyer team based in Victoria, BC Canada. Our luxurious yarns are spun by a reputable Canadian mill, kettle dyed using professional grade acid dyes and brought to life with the vibrant colours of multiple layers and baths that would bring any box of crayons to its knees. We create rich, flowing, one of a kind colour paths with short and unpredictable repeats for unique, exquisite yarn crafting experiences. We have many yarns in stock in various weights and colour paths from the brightest rainbow to the darkest midnight sky, all ready to ship just in time for the holidays! To thank you for taking a few moments to come check us out, please accept this coupon code IUFRIENDS10OFF for 10% purchases until November 26th.

A little over a year ago I released my first garment pattern Brynja in Pom Pom Quarterly’s lovely Issue 11: Winter 2014.

I am happy to say that I am now able to re-release the pattern as a single pattern download. I am also offering 15% off 6 or more skeins of my Waltham Aran to knit the jumper until the end of November. This works out to at least a skein for free in most sizes! Just enter code BRYNJA at checkout to activate the discount.

Get both the pattern and yarn in the shop while supplies last.

Welcome to Circus Tonic Handmade Yarns! Based in Sydney, Australia, I offer a wide selection of Australian Merino yarns for knitting, crochet and weaving (along with discounted international shipping). My beautiful, subtle and radiant range of colours is inspired by Australian native birds and the natural environment, adding a true beauty to your projects. Small-batch dyeing methods ensure the yarns maintain their supremely soft handle all the way to your door. I am proud and passionate about my yarns and hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Today is your last day to get your hands on the remaining skeins in the post-Rhinebeck French Market Fibers update! Margaret has decided to include the skeins of Cocktail Brunch, Storyland, Hurricane and more in her shipment to The Knot House, a wonderful yarn shop in Frederick, Maryland. The page will be taken down this Tuesday, Nov. 10. Thanks to everyone who made this IU update such a success!

Also, if you would like to include some Buttonalia buttons in your order, I am happy to combine shipping and will refund you the extra amount.

I unfortunately couldn’t make it in person to the Rhinebeck trunk show this year due to a death in the family, but I am ever so grateful to Cheryl and Jenn of June Pryce Fiber Arts who hosted my booth, to Lisa for letting that arrangement happen, and to everyone else who helped make the event work! When I got my box back, I realized that the coupons I sent up for the goodie bags had slipped through the cracks, so I’m now offering the sale up to everyone: enter the code INDIELUV20 at checkout in my Etsy shop and receive 20% off your order! Offer is good through November 15th.

Autumn scented lotion bars (Pumpkin Spice!) are still going strong in the shop, with winter-like fragrances starting to make an appearance (Peppermint Cocoa…mmmm). Keep in mind that colder weather brings dry skin, and prepare early with our super-moisturizing lotion bars and lip balms. They’re made with the following skin-loving ingredients: beeswax, cocoa butter, mango butter, coconut oil, almond oil, vitamin E oil, meadowfoam seed oil, and our key ingredient, lanolin.

Beeswax and cocoa butter create a barrier between your skin and the elements, while mango butter and the various oils provide moisture and antioxidant properties. Lanolin’s molecular structure is very similar to the lipids in your own skin cells, and is absorbed easily for long-lasting skin protection. Plus, it comes from sheep’s wool, which is a bonus for every knitter I know!

Who wouldn’t love 12 skein of yarn to remind us of the 12 Days of Christmas? From now until Thanksgiving I am taking orders for a set of 12 400-yard skeins or 12 30-yard minis — one per day of the 12 Days of Christmas song. I will package and ship orders the first week of December.

I will be posting pictures of the dyed skeins as I finish them, in my Ravelry group. As of this post, two colorways are done. The picture posted here is Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Silversmith Hoodie is the perfect project for advanced and courageous knitters. The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down with saddle shoulders and modified contiguous sleeve shaping. Because of the top-down construction, the body length can be easily modified, if preferred. Hood stitches are picked up and knitted from the neckline as is the button band when finishing. Sleeves are worked in the round. The pattern includes a video tutorial on how to work minicables without a cable needle. Worked in worsted-weight yarn, it’s the perfect winter cardigan and a quite quick knit. The sample is worked in Malabrigo Rios in the colorway Sand Bank.
