Frida Kahlo Yarn Club 2026

Our 2026 featured artist is Frida Kahlo! Each month subscribers will get yarn, a stitch marker, and an information card about the featured artwork.

There is a new pricing structure for 2026:

Tier 1: Single skein (variegated) + stitch marker + fact card + shipping = $38/month.

Tier 2: Two skeins (option of both variegated or one variegated and one tonal to match) + stitch marker + fact card + shipping = $65/month.

Subscribers will also receive the option to order more of each monthly color at a discount.

To start your subscription for the entire year, you must subscribe by January 18th, 2025. Any subscriptions after that will start the month you subscribe.

Subscription members will get their choice of yarn base each month and an email will be sent to ask what you’d prefer. You may pick a base for the whole year or change from month to month.

Not sure if you want to subscribe? I will usually have a preorder each month for the skein + fact card only (no stitch marker).

All packages will ship between the 28th of that month and the 2nd of the following (to allow me time to get preorders together, items purchased/made and things packaged up).

A WoolenYarnBox takes us to the Stitches & Sprinkles Café this February!

On a quiet street where mornings smell like sugar and coffee, there’s a little shop called Stitches & Sprinkles Café. Inside, yarn baskets sit beside warm mugs, and the display case is filled with freshly glazed donuts dusted in cheerful sprinkles.

Stitching is different here. Mistakes seem less important and time slows just enough to enjoy the moment. Locals say the sprinkles bring good luck, helping tangled yarn behave and turning small flaws into happy accidents.

When the day winds down, crumbs are brushed away and projects are tucked safely into bags, ready for tomorrow. The lights dim, the door closes, and the café waits patiently. It is warm, welcoming, and always ready for one more stitch.

I am so ready to settle down for my long winter’s nap. Before I do, I’ve got one more drop coming on Friday night, December 12 at 6pm CT.

Like everything I offer, the stitch markers and bags in this drop were made entirely by me. This group is stocking-stuffer friendly, perfect for sharing with your crafty friends.

And it’s not too late for holiday delivery. Everything on the website is available to ship and will go out as early as Saturday or Monday (depending on when you order).

The stitch marker sets are made with a thin wire loop to work with any size needle and not leave a ladder in your work. They also hang below your work to avoid tangles with working yarn. The fish pouches are so cute, and perfect little organizers for small bits and pieces. The accordion pouches are great for circular needles.

The Buried Moon: A limited lunar color

Inspired by the December 4 Cold Supermoon and English fairy tale The Buried Moon, this lunar beauty of a yarn will work up like the most dramatic moonlit sky.

If you could use a little light appearing from the deepest, darkest bog, Ex Libris Fibers’ limited color Buried Moon color is available on Superwash sock, Merino DK and U.S. worsted bases. A mini skein set in superwash sock combines the five dominant colors from the variegated version for a stunning palette.

The Buried Moon is available online at 12PM Eastern on December 12. Quantities are limited.

An Illustrative Take on some Winter Icons

The iconic male cardinal in a snowy winter is the inspiration for this illustrative set of yarns.

Cardinal is a deep red speckled tonal. Birch is colour corrected to a white background, speckled, and resist dyed to produce those unmistakable black “lenticels.” And Snow Blue Sky is an unrealistic childlike blue sky with white snow spots. The spots are random but regular and produce reverse speckling throughout the entire skein.

These are dyed to order on Superwash Superfine Fingering Merino.
