Oooh the leaves are turning and that means one thing: stash diving for the chonkiest wool for a new sweater project.

If you’re casting on a big project, then you need a big bag to keep your work protected and accessible. If it can look great at the same time, even better! I have just the bag. Like everything in my shop, it was handmade by me from quality materials like heavy, hand waxed cotton canvas and sturdy denim.

I have several styles, including the popular Waxed Canvas Tote that (new for this year!) I turned sideways. Same size, just easier to reach the bottom of the bag. Even better, you can add an optional cross-body strap for when you want that freedom of movement.

The holidays are coming — are you ready? Small bags make great gifts. They’re pretty, useful, and easily filled with little goodies. Right now in my shop I have loads, and they all do double (or triple) duty. They make great small project bags one day, and can be used for something else the next.

Sockses Boxes are perfect for, well, sock projects. No socks on the needles at the moment? Pack makeup or toiletries for your holiday travels. They’re washable, so no need to be precious about using them any way you need.

Dumpling pouches are too cute. They have a sweet shape and a fat footprint that makes it easy to knit out of it. After you finish using it for your hat project, pop all your small bits and pieces in so they don’t get lost in your larger handbag. Fill one with sweet treats (or a skein of your favorite indie dyed yarn?) for your knitting bestie.
