New project bags for spring have landed on my website. There are pretty linen and floral drawstring project bags and open-wide zipper bags with water resistant waxed canvas bases. But my absolute favorites are the waxed canvas collage totes. Each is one of a kind and a beautiful arrangement of colors and shapes. They have leather handles, magnetic snap closures, and you’ll never see someone with the same bag. Every item on my website was handmade entirely by me. They’re ready to ship — the bag you see in the photos is the one you’ll receive — and they go out within 1-2 days. Each was a labor of love for me. I hope you’ll love them, too.

I’m excited to share that I am participating in the 5th Annual Knit For Food Knit-a-Thon, happening on Saturday, April 5th!

I’ll be knitting for 12 hours straight to raise money for four wonderful organizations that work to combat food scarcity and hunger.

100% of the dollars raised will be split equally between:
1) Feeding America
2) No Kid Hungry
3) World Central Kitchen
4) Meals on Wheels

You can help me raise money for this important cause by donating to the Knit for Food Knit-a-thon, or signing up to knit!

Every donation will help get food into the hands of someone who needs it.

When you donate to Team Double the Stitches, you’ll receive a code for a FREE Pattern of your choice from me!

When you visit my Knit for Food page, you can also choose to sign up as a knitter/crafter, simply click the JOIN THE KNIT-A-THON button, set up a profile, and start fundraising!

Will you support me in this effort by making a one-time donation to the campaign? Click here.

Terrapin Fiberworks is teaming up with Frog It! Yarns and several other indie dyers to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! We have worked up a limited edition colorway, “Visionary,” named after the theme of this year’s fundraiser and dyed with the sparkly, bright hope of a world without blood cancers. Visionary is a cool-toned blend of rich jewel tones with neon pops. $5 for every skein sold is donated by Terrapin Fiberworks to this campaign.

Visionary is available exclusively March 11 – May 22 through Terrapin Fiberworks’ website.

Ahoy, me hearties! Treasure Goddess Yarn has new fun sock-knitting kits. A favorite of mine features Sea Monster (rich deep teal) with mini skein of Mermaids & Moonshine (turquoise, greens and golds) for pops of fun color at your toes and cuff edges. Each kit comes with an easy sock pattern, full-sized skein of sock yarn and 20-gram mini skein of luxury Treasured Toes Sock Yarn, plus cute stitch markers. All you need are your needles! Will you choose Sea Monster? Or Ghost Ship with Ruby Daggers? Or Pieces of Eight with Song of the Sirens? Every choice is super yummy!

It’s time for the March iteration of the Pablo Picasso Yarn Club. This month we are featuring “The Old Guitarist,” one of the most famous from Picasso’s Blue Period. Featuring deep and light blues, with a pop of brown, this is a unique variegated yarn. All packages come with the yarn skein(s) and a face card about the artwork. If you wish to receive all the fun extras, you may subscribe monthly on my website.

Orders close on the 23rd of March. All packages will ship between the 28th of that month and the 2nd of the following (to allow me time to get preorders together, items purchased/made and things packaged up).

There are lots of new things arriving in the latest Third Vault Yarns, 14th of March shop update — here are just a few!

CALYPSO PROJECT BAG

@softaccentsuk and I have yet another collab on the way for you called: Calypso! The newest addition to our hand-dyed collection. Calypso was named and inspired by EPIC: The Musical! Also a nod to my other large bag, Atlas…

The Calypso already made its debut at Unravel in February, and now the remaining bags will make it online for the update.
These bags have a roll top with an inside pocket to store your knitting needles or crochet hook, and a notebook! The lining is dry waxed fabric and easy to wipe clean. There are also D rings on each side to customize your carrying experience, with options to make it crossbody or single strap, and an O ring closure. This is designed to hold everything you might need for your project!

NEEDLEMINDERS

New to Third Vault Yarns are these super cute needleminders, designed by myself and our wonderful logo artist Sophie. These are sustainably printed on 3mm cherrywood veneer and come with an attached magnet and a backing magnet.

SOCK BLANKS

Exciting new sock blanks! Double stranded and perfect for socks, gloves or sleeves (though these are very versatile and can be used by alternating strands or unraveled and used as a repeating gradient).

Mountains on Fire is a returning colourway whilst Magic AF and Spices and Tea Leaves are completely new. The latter is also going to be sleeves for a new project for me!

As a celebration of my birthday and the lovely crafting community, WLS Makes Stuff is having a sale! All cards use a mix of hand-drawn and digital illustration techniques (but never, ever AI) and are printed on recycled and/or sustainable materials with vegetable and algae-based inks. Please note at this time we’re only able to ship orders within the US.

It’s spring cleaning time at the Sweet Paprika dye studio as we get ready for our annual Mystery Bag Sale, coming up on Sunday, March 16th!

We’ll be putting together a variety of Mystery Bags, which may include single skeins at the end of a dyelot, one-of-a-kind colours, or seconds, all bundled up and offered to you at a discount. This year we also have some unspun roving, and lots of mini-skein sets!

All mystery bags will be listed on our website at 2pm EDT on March 16th with a general description, but for those of you who prefer a little less suspense in your yarn shopping we’ll be going live on Zoom at 2pm to show the contents of each bag in more detail and answer any questions you may have. We also have some door prizes to give away, so don’t miss this virtual party!

In previous years we’ve sold out quickly, so set your alarm and bookmark the sale page to make sure you don’t miss out. Hope to see you there!
