I love a bag that can change purpose with your changing needs. These sweet frame bags have been very popular with my customers, who tell me that they use them as project bags one day and a handbag the next. The shape is a classic handbag style. It comes from the metal frame in the top of the bag that also holds it open when unzipped, making them excellent project bags. They’ve been flying away this month, but I still have several gorgeous options to choose from. Each one is unique!

Dumpling pouches are also great multipurpose bags. They’re perfect for a sock project, but equally great to use for makeup, cords and chargers, or any little things you need to organize in a larger bag. Several feature fabrics talking about home and family and combined with the fresh spring colors they make sweet Mother’s Day gifts.

And my large project bags are perfect for your next sweater project or for anything you need to tote from one place to another. Quilted fabric collages and heavy waxed canvas make these extra sturdy, while inside pockets, stitch marker rings, and magnetic snap closures keep your project — or anything you need to carry — safe and clean. Like all of my bags, these are also one of a kind so please don’t wait to choose your favorite.

I was a knitter long before I was a dog mom. As when welcoming any new member of the family, adjustments had to be made with his arrival. I love knitting with wool, and Jake loved the smell of sheep. He soon learned that I had tasty woolly snacks all over the house, some rolled into balls perfect for munching, and some worked into elaborate meals with sleeves that could be dragged around and enjoyed slowly. Jake’s not with us anymore, but his love of woolly snacks came rushing back when I saw this fabric with it’s well-behaved, warm and cozy pooches. I thought of how they can look so innocent one second and tear your hard work to shreds the next, and the Bad Dog, No No! project bag followed. I embroidered a cozy sweater in Jake’s favorite, wool, over one of the dogs, and added a little snack to his too-innocent face. This is truly one of a kind, and the perfect bag for the “if you know, you know” knitter out there.

I’ve also added an extra large bag to my most recent drop, perfect for blanket projects or carrying several projects at once. New stitch markers and framed bags round out this pretty collection. Please have a look, and be sure to keep your projects safe from your beloved best friend.

I’ve been knitting almost all my life, and that’s a long time. I started making project bags because I couldn’t find what I wanted in a bag. First, it has to be big enough to fit my project but not so big that people start saying, “Can you just put this in *your* bag?” My small project bags are perfect for sock knitting, and my large bags are just right for a sweater knitting project. Second, I wanted it to have the features I need in a bag. I knit in alllll the places — waiting rooms, pick-up lines, coffee shops — and I want my precious project safe and protected wherever I am. Waxed canvas bases and sturdy fabric exteriors keep everything safe. Inside, there are pockets for all my things: my needles, a pen, a little snack, and a ring to clip my stitch markers and little scissors. Finally, I want it to be just for me. Every project we create is one of a kind. Your bag could be, too. It could be handmade from a gorgeous fabric that makes your heart sing every time you see it. It could be beautiful and useful, just like the sweaters, hats, socks, and toys you create. If that sounds nice, I’d be honored if you had a look at my project bags. Please consider joining my email list, too. Subscribers get first access to new products and weekly subscriber-only sales.

Don’t get me wrong — I love winter. Cozy knitting opportunities abound, and I actually get to wear my sweaters. January is tough, though, and I can’t help looking forward to spring. So I’ve made a new batch of project bags with a eye toward bluer skies and budding flowers.

The large project bags are the perfect size for a sweater project. Each features a heavy cotton denim print with a water-resistant waxed canvas base, four inside pockets, and a ring for stitch markers and small tools. The zipper pouches are so sweet, and feature either pretty unicorns in a magical pastel meadow or warm honey colors and cute bumble bee zipper pulls. They’re perfect for a sock or accessory project. Each has a wide footprint for staying open while you work, and these are machine washable, too. They’re also great bags for makeup, organizing your cords and chargers, or any other bits and pieces that could use organizing.

Are you one of those magical people who can walk and knit at the same time? You might like one of my sockses boxes. Loop the handle over your wrist for knitting on the go. Like everything I make, they’re fully finished inside and out and handmade entirely by me.

I hope you’re finding some time to rest and reflect this week — for me, this is the week that I’m usually not preparing anything and just taking some time to think about what’s next. I have some ideas that I want to develop and explore next year, and that means clearing away the cobwebs to make space (mental and physical!) for something new. So I’m having a quick sale on everything on my website. Use the code TAKE10 for 10% off everything.

There are beautiful, sturdy, one-of-a-kind project bags in small, medium, and large sizes. Many feature repurposed fabrics or collages of beautiful, durable waxed canvases. I also have large waxed canvas totes, small items including handmade stitch marker sets and key rings, and even handbags, all on sale, all handmade by me. Please note that the code can be used on sale items but will not work with any other discount offers.
