As February rolls in we hope you are feeling as cozy and creative as we are! We’ve got loads of gorgeous yarny things to show you today!
We’re starting off with Noemi Zimmer’s Half of my Heart Beanie or Cowl — what a cute pattern! All three retreats will feature uniquely different experiences and each will include a 4-5 day stay in a safari lodge featuring the “Big Five” at a private game reserve! January is called Selfish Knitting month, because after all the holiday gift knitting (and crochet, too!) we did, it is finally time to focus on knitting something for ourselves. Hello from ECY Shedquarters. We have been very busy with getting lots of yarn ready for the website and preparing our Seasonal Stash Boxes. This week alone we have added Titus 4ply and our sparkly festive Rosedale 4ply update. This includes Festive Fun (cream with green and red speckles) alongside Apeldoorn Tulip (a rich red) and Larch (dark green). Rosedale 4ply is a Merino/nylon sock yarn with gold Stellina sparkle running through it. You may think that the sparkly fibres would be itchy against your skin but even the more sensitive members of our team find it comfortable to wear against the skin.
We also have an update of Hayton 4ply hitting the website on Monday 26th November. Hayton 4ply is a delicious blend of Merino Cashmere and nylon giving all the best qualities you would want in a yarn: softness of the merino, strength from the nylon and luxury from the cashmere. If you are a fan of Liz Corke and her patterns you should be very familiar with this blend. Liz’s latest pattern Tar-Sgàil uses Hayton 4ply as do many of her fingerless mitt patterns!
