Hey everyone!

At Train Track Fiber Designs we are celebrating the new season with the arrival of our brand new micro mini sets! These little babies come in sets of 10 10-gram skeins and are all sorts of fun colors to add a pop of fun to any project! We also have some awesome new colorways on full size bases in the shop. The shop just got a total update so there is a lot to pick from and it is easier to navigate. All orders placed before 12 noon Eastern time ship out the same day!

While you are shopping, be sure to join the Carousel Club! Each month our mystery yarn club opens from the 1st to the 18th for preorder. We offer mini sets and full skeins in the club. The club colors are based on a vintage carousel animal. Check out the past months for examples.

The dyer behind our shop, Jen, also hosts a knitting & crochet channel on Youtube called Knit in the Zone — come watch & knit 🙂

Be sure to sign up for the email list for special promotions & discounts.

We’ve added a few new colors to the QCC Yarn line and we have also decided to move it to its own website. This separation of Ewe Sew An Sew and QCC Yarn will help us to better focus each site on its own products.

At qccyarn.com we can offer better shipping options, especially to our international customers. We also have a rewards program called Happy Cats. You’ll be able to earn Happy Cats every time you shop and by creating an account you’ll get 200 Happy Cats! Those 200 Happy Cats can be redeemed for a $5 discount to be used on your next order.

We’re celebrating the end of a long winter with an exclusive discount just for Indie Untangled readers. Use the coupon code UNTANGLED20 for 20% off your purchase throughout the rest of May.

Right now we’re stocked with plenty of gorgeous singles and sock yarns for light easy beach knitting, and our Posh Skinny is the perfect weight for light transition sweaters like Boyland Knitworks’ Tegna. At a whopping 630 yards per skein you can knit up a small sweater with less than two hanks! The cashmere content makes it soft and airy. It’s spring sweater bliss.

May has brought fun changes for BigFootFibers! We have an updated website, with a cleaner look and a bit sleeker feel, and we definitely needed it! Growth is hard but is a wonderful thing!

This week’s update, going up Friday at 6 p.m. Central, is a “spring cleaning” update, where we are cleaning out those shelves and getting ready for new things! All Indie Untangled subscribers can use code “IndieSpring10” for 10% off their entire order including Lykke Needles (!) through Monday May 21st at midnight central time. Minis, bulky, SilkyYak DK, worsted, sport and, of course, fingering are all included in this update!

Happy making to all of you wonderful knitters out there! If you have any problems with the new site please don’t hesitate to email me by clicking the Contact button on this post. ~ Sheila

Summery colors are taking over the lab! Friday, May 18th will see a couple of new permanent colorways, some “experiments,” and a new base.

Smooth Sock makes its debut with 75% Superwash Merino and 25% nylon at 460 yards per 100g. This is a more traditional sock yarn with 4 plies and a smoother surface than Test Tube.

Pre-orders are still open for the monthly Women in Science series May colorway inspired by Wang Zheni. If you want a sneak peek, there’s a spoiler image hiding on Instagram. Pre-orders close on the 21st. Next month we’ll be learning about Mary Anning.

For the Spring and Summer months I have decided to add a new yarn base to the shop. My Bauble base is a 6-ply heavy lace/ light fingering weight yarn consisting of 100% SW Merino that comes in skeins of 822 yards per 150 grams. Which is the perfect amount for shawls or other lace projects. You can find this base dyed in a variety of tonal and speckled colors through out the website.

Introducing The Golden Purls! Please enjoy 10% off for our Soft Opening on Etsy!

The Golden Purls are a real-life mother & daughter team who take pride in creating hand-dyed yarn inspired by their favorite moments and colors from the classic TV show, The Golden Girls.

Liane is the mother: she’s quick-witted and just slightly off-kilter, but she usually knows best (much like Sophia).

Nicole is the daughter: she has no patience for the nonsense around her, but she’ll always love her Ma (a total Dorothy).

The Golden Purls combined their love of knitting and the dynamic between Sophia & Dorothy and started a hand-dyed yarn company in 2018. They are committed to producing rich colors with outrageous names (yes, they go there!) inspired by everything golden.
