Hey, it’s October, and the Pumpkin Spice Flavored EVERYTHING is hitting the coffee shops and store shelves! And you know what else that means … the illustrious Stephen West has announced his newest, latest and greatest MKAL, Shawlography! Now last year, his Slipstravaganza Shawl broke the record (if there is such a thing) for Number of Stitch Markers Required for a Single Project (54!) so I suppose this year he’s making up for that by requiring Shawlography to use exactly one Stitch Marker.

So your favorite stitch marker maker sat herself down and thought about how to create some sort of “project support” for the Shawlography (to help with the topography, so to speak) and here’s what I have for you: The (Mostly) Magnetic MKAL Mix Box O’Notions!
Included in the 3 inch x 3 inch locking box are:
— 1 set of 10 US6/4mm magnetic stitch markers
— 1 set of 5 magnetic Reversa-Clippy movable stitch markers
— 1 set of 3 “What the #$%^&?? Stitch Comes Next?” movable markers: RS (right side), WS (wrong side), and OOPS (for those not-so-happy accidents)
— 1 set of 3 mini crochet hooks on a key ring in sizes 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm
— 1 teeny tiny scissors that despite their teeny tiny size, do really cut and are actually quite sharp!
— 2 tapestry needles for you End Weaving Pleasure (yeah, THAT exists. )
The locking box itself has a magnetic pad at the bottom to keep your magnetic markers in the case more securely! And there’s still room for what ever bits and bobs you may have.

Just in case the Box O’Notions wasn’t enough for you, you can add on your choice of a chain row counter for an extra $20 (regularly $25)! You can choose:
— Knitting on the Dark Side of the Moon — triangular links in size US6/4mm, featuring Pink Floyd prismatic color beads and a rainbow charm, along with a progress keeper featuring a sun charm
— Back on the Square Chain Gang — square links in size US6/4mm, featuring Awesome 1980’s neon colored beads (that GLOW under BLACKLIGHT!), and a progress keeper featuring one chill sheep charm
— The Cat’s in the Cradle Again — cat-shaped links in size US10/6mm, featuring iridescent black beads and a black cat charm, along with a progress keeper featuring a black and gold heart.
All markers and chain row counters are made from hand-coiled copper or steel wire, the glass seed bead is glued over the joint to ensure smooth moving. All stitch markers are shipped in a zipper bag in a padded envelope.
