While the Thanksgiving story I was taught as a child is problematic, nonetheless it has been the one holiday my family has celebrated since I left my childhood home decades ago. The size of the gathering has shrunk considerably as time has passed, and we decided it was more important that my mom will be around to celebrate her 91st Thanksgiving than for us to gather together this year. Perhaps you spent the day like me, cuddled under a blanket, watching old movies and enjoying some knitting or crocheting time.

In a nod to the day, I’ve released my newest color on BFL Sock, Cornbread and Cranberry. It joins the palette of seasonal colors that evoke winter holidays to me. I have a deep love of Bluefaced Leicester-you can’t beat the soft yet crisp hand and its durability. I’ve also dyed it on my Neptune Merino DK. Perfect for creating cozy gifts for your loved ones.

Wicked Enchantress For Spincycle Dream State

Wicked Enchantress has been released. The pattern will be on sale for 20% off through December 2nd for an extra wicked release sale.

Sometimes those single skeins of yarn are so beautiful it seems like they were made by some Wicked Witch to tempt you. This triangle cowl is the perfect project to use up those single skeins of worsted-weight that you brought home without a project in mind. The pattern uses just 150 yards of worsted-weight yarn. You can even use up multiple skeins because the pattern includes two different border options; Delilah’s Dots or Jezebel Jubilee. The lace patterns are simple so they would be great for a beginner or a relaxing project for an experienced lace knitter. Give in to the wicked yarn enchantress and snatch up those single skeins!

This cowl is knit top down starting with a basic flat heart shawl construction, it is then joined in the round for the last few rounds to create a triangle cowl shape. You can even use multiple single skeins up because the pattern includes two different border options; Delilah’s Dots and Jezebel Jubilee. Delilah’s Dots is shown in Pussy Willow (yellow and grey yarn) and Jezebel Jubilee is shown in Nostalgia (red yarn). Lace sections include both charted and written instructions.

What makes these bags special? I wanted to created a collection of bags that will be perfect for the season, but also perfect to give as gifts. The collection features a lot of small notion pouches, bigger notion pouches and mini totes. All gifts under $50 for the person in your life that appreciate one of a kind, statement bags that are both practical and functional.

The front of these bags features handprinted or block printed fabric printed with sparkly paint and patched together. The back of these bags are either waxed sparkly linen or sparkly cotton.

I have added some new products to the SALE section of the website and under “Fun Extras” you will find a new product that will customize your bag even more! Adorable puppy and kitty snips!

I’m a jeweler and obsessive knitter, and I wanted to combine both of my loves. The handcrafted jewelry, stitch markers, shawl pins and notion bowls that I create are inspired by nature and modern forms, and executed in enamel, bronze and precious metals. I work with the fire of the kiln and powdered glass to create unique one of a kind pieces. I spend most of my spring, summer, and fall foraging for plants, leaves, and flowers. Then I create molds to make pins, necklaces, and jewelry with them. It really keeps me grounded to witness the beauty in nature and what the earth can produce with its unique treasures. I’m so humbled by it.
