Dandelion is my new design!
Dandelion is a rounded/circular yoke pullover with what I like to call a “petite boxy” shape, where the body has a certain amount of positive ease (not as much as a traditional boxy top). I must say that this “petite boxy” is one of my very favorite styles, because it dresses beautifully in any body type! The textured stitch motif at yoke and sleeves is inspired by Brazilian basketry, one of the crafts that I admire from my country.

Notes
This pullover is seamless, worked in the round from the top down.
The yoke is worked circularly in textured stitch motif. Change to longer length circulars while working the yoke, when needed.
Stitch marker is positioned at the middle / center of the back.
The back neck and back hem are shaped with short rows for a better fit.
The sleeves are worked circularly from the top down.
To avoid underarm holes, the directions indicate pick up and k tbl 1 st on the row below the diagonal line formed between the body cast on sts and the sleeve sts that were on hold.
Being stuck at home has had some advantages, as I’m sure many dyers have discovered. For me, it has allowed me the time to think about my brand, my yarns and my market. With that in mind, I have finally begun dyeing and selling yarns on a DK base.
The colors I chose are from my already existing palette of “yarn inspired by art,” and are the ones I have found to be the most popular over time. From spring-y pinks and greens to the more subdued maroon to bright ocean blues and golden morning yellows, there is something for everyone in this selection of yarns.
This DK yarn is a 100% Superwash Merino, 231 yards per 100g skein. It’s so squishy and takes the dye so well, that photos can’t do it justice.

Come experience a new kind of fiber show, one that comes straight to your house! Introducing the inaugural Virtu-Wool Fiber Festival, a live streaming show featuring 20 vendors from all over the United States. As fiber festivals and shows are canceled due to the pandemic, vendors are looking for new and creative ways to still interact with fiber enthusiasts. This two-day event will run Saturday, May 2nd and Sunday May 3rd from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. EDT each day. Hi everyone! This is Gothfarm Yarn’s first post on Indie Untangled. We’re a small yarn business based in Austin, Texas. Let me tell you more about us.
1. We don’t use dyes or synthetic fibers.
We embrace the black sheep at Gothfarm — and all the other colors too! All of our yarns are made from blends of naturally-colored fibers. That means the colors you see come directly from the animals or plants that produced it. We love the earthy color palettes the fibers create. Using natural hues also means that you don’t have to worry about colors fading or bleeding.
2. We depend on rare and uncommon sheep breeds — and other animals, too.
Most commercially produced wool is white. To create our yarns, we depend on a wide range of sheep breeds that produce colored fleeces. We also use fiber from other unique fiber fauna, including Angora goats, Huacaya alpacas, and muga silkworms. Check out the Fauna page on our website to learn more!
3. We’re all about texture.
Different fibers have different feels. Each of our yarns has a different texture, as well as color, that relates back to its unique fiber blend. Interested in trying something out? Send us an email for a free sample.
4. We buy fiber from small producers, and work with small mills.
Small farms make what we do possible. They are the drivers of preserving the rare and uncommon breeds that we use in our yarn. We rely on small mills to process our custom blends.
5. We’re more than just yarn.
