Affirmations Progress Keepers are both handy and inspirational. Use them to help show how much progress you’ve made in an hour, day, week, etc.

A very rare limited edition update: three shimmering shades Stitch Marker Sets are up for grabs while they last. Occasionally I take a break from all the shawl pin making to make stitch markers. Being a sheep farmer has been a little difficult this year as the weather has refused to cooperate. So if all goes well we will be baling hay this weekend. Which means the sheep will be well fed and happy and producing beautiful fleeces to be made into yummy yarns to knit or crochet projects to your heart’s content. So in honor of hay baling and beautiful summer weather we are having a yarn sale on our website until July 15th with free shipping.

We are excited to be working with our local mill to be adding some new natural yarn blends to our line come September. We will be showcasing them at Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival. With the addition of the new yarns we are looking for someone who might be interested in working with us to design a pattern or two to go with our yarns. If anyone has an interest in collaborating please contact us.

The latest yarn club for Round Table Yarns is now open to subscriptions! In the 5-month Knight of the Lion Yarn Club you’ll get the story of Yvain, who decides to avenge his cousin who has had a shameful experience with another knight. This adventure will change Yvain’s life forever, but not always in a positive way. He’ll find and lose love and go on a number of side quests, one of which earns him the name Knight of the Lion. What happens to him in the end? Will he be shamed like his cousin or will he have a happier ending? Find out by joining this yarn club and following along on Yvain’s adventures.

For five months, you’ll receive one shipment each month (five total shipments) of a special yarn club colorway based upon this story. The story has been split into five parts. Each month, you’ll receive part of the story on a postcard (or two) and a color of yarn based upon that part of the story. In at least one of the packages, you’ll receive an extra small gift. Each yarn color is a surprise that you’ll anticipate each month along with the next part of the story. The colors are exclusive to the yarn club for at least three months from the date of shipment. Colors will be semisolids/tonals.

You’ll also have the option of participating in a knit-along/crochet-along in the Round Table Yarns group on Ravelry, where you can chat with other yarn club members and be eligible to win prizes. In addition, you’ll receive a recommended list of pattern ideas (posted on Ravelry) for using your yarn club yarn.

Sign ups for the club will run from June 27 through July 9. However, the club may close early if all spots are filled.

Our July Mystery Sock Club listing has gone live! ???? So far, the monthly Sock Club has been a huge hit and a whole lot of fun to dye.

Pictured are some of the previous colorways this year. Oh, and you can now add a corresponding mystery mini skein for heels and toes!

You can make whatever your heart desires with your Club skein, but if you decide to make socks, there is a Microstripe Sock-Along going on in my Ravelry group as well, in which you only need to finish ONE sock out of Club skeins to enter to win prizes. ????

Over 200 indie dyers, crochet and knitting designers and notions makers have rallied together in an impromptu movement in response to a charity colourway by dyer Countess Ablaze that was plagiarised. Rather than naming and shaming the culprit, the Countess released the dye recipe and invited dyers to recreate their own versions of If I Want Exposure, I’ll Get My Tits Out, which initially raised over £3000 for Women’s Aid in April 2018.

The original colourway was dyed in response to misogyny the Countess experienced and being asked to give a significant amount of stock and teaching time in exchange for exposure. Dyers worldwide are releasing their versions of this iconic colourway on Sunday 1st July 2018 with money donated to charities of the participants choice. Designers are designing new patterns and rebranding existing ones and makers of bags, jewellery and stitch-markers are also involved with Tits themed items.

Hi everyone, and HAPPY SUMMER!

The hot weather is finally here, and you know what that means… it’s time to start your summer projects!

For me, a summer project means something lightweight, small and portable. Definitely something you can take to the park or on a long car trip to the beach, maybe even something you can work on while your catching some rays. Well, we’ve got you covered. Can we say SOCKS!!

YES, sock kits are returning to Lambstrings Yarn. You’ll get one full skein and one mini skein of Tralala Sock (75/25 Superwash Merino/nylon) in contrasting colors for heel/ toe/cuff contrast, enough yardage to make a large pair of adult socks and some to spare.

We’ve put together some really fun tropical summer-y inspired kits to help get you into your vacation mood, as well as some neutrals that will calm and relax.

These will be uploaded to the shop on Friday night, June 22nd at 7 p.m. Eastern, so I hope you can grab one then!

Thank you so much!

The June Subscriber Color Inspiration colorways are now live at Spirit Trail Fiberworks! This month’s colorways are inspired by a photograph sent by Kate G.

Kate said this about her photograph: “I took this photo in April when we spent a week in Ogden, Utah, for work training for my husband. We were at the Ogden Botanical Garden one evening having a picnic and this bright orange flower hidden among the woody shrub caught my eye. It was easily missed and such a neat find!”

Kate wins a free skein of yarn in her own special colorway! Congratulations, Kate! (If you’d like to get in on the fun, just subscribe to my newsletter on my homepage, and send me a photo you love! I pick a new photo inspiration every month for these limited edition colorways.)

Botanical is the main colorway. It’s a speckled blend of grays, soft browns, greens, yellow, and oranges on a soft gray base color. Pretty much all the colors in the photograph.

Little Flower is the bright, happy yellow-orange complementary colorway, based on that pretty little flower.

And Leafy is the rich, nearly iridescent green complementary colorway.

All three colors are available on the following bases:

Aurora: fingering weight 100% Superwash Merino single-ply, 400 yards per 100g skein.

Philomena: fingering weight 100% Superwash Merino 4-ply, 438 yards per 100g skein.

Sunna: fingering weight 75% Superwash Merino, 15% Cashmere, 10% silk 3-ply, 356 yards per 115g skein.

Andromeda: DK weight 100% Superwash Merino single ply, 240 yards per 100g skein.

Verdande: worsted weight 75% Superwash Merino, 15% Cashmere, 10% silk 4-ply, 220 yards per 115g skein.

Please note that each base has its own listing for each color (because I haven’t figured out how to add variations to a listing on Shopify, when the variations have different prices).

Dyed-to-order listings will be open from June 19-June 30, 2018. Once listings are closed, all yarns will be dyed and shipped between July 15-25, 2018.
