I’ve put together five colorway kits for Lyrical Knits’ upcoming Muppet Shawl MKAL! All inspired by The Muppet Show (with the Muppet Movie thrown in for good measure), there’s something for everyone to choose from!
Artisans and designers will post here when they’re about to stock their online stores with new goodies, if they’re having a special sale, opening sign-ups for yarn clubs or releasing a pattern.
Visit the Indie Untangled blog every Friday, where we’ll list the shop updates, sales and events coming up that week. Sign up for the newsletter to have that list sent straight to your inbox.

As February rolls in we hope you are feeling as cozy and creative as we are! We’ve got loads of gorgeous yarny things to show you today!
We’re starting off with Noemi Zimmer’s Half of my Heart Beanie or Cowl — what a cute pattern! We’ve got some lovely kits that will really show off the colorwork pattern in squishy Shelley, our worsted-weight base. The kit comes with two hanks of Shelley in coordinating colors. If you want to do the three-color version, grab another hank or something from your stash.
Pour yourself a cuppa and check out the lovely Tea Time Tin & Stitch Marker Set. It’s so fancy!
Want to add some texture to your knitting? We’ve got something to make it Pop! Poppy, by Fat Bunny Yarn, a fingering weight Superwash Merino with nylon neps is just the thing. Check out all the amazing colors! Poppy is a fingering weight yarn so you can mix and match with our fingering base Twain for monochromatic texture or use it as a pop of color in addition. Need some inspiration? We’re thinking of how great Poppy would be in Mairlyn’s Beachy Keen Shawl or Shellie Anderson’s Athens top. Weavers will love the something special it adds to their projects, too.
We’ve got a super restock of beautiful colors on Bronte, our Suri alpaca/silk base that are perfect for blending with so many other colors to add lush softness. Also, we have some of the same, and some different colors on Woolf, our luxurious grey alpaca/silk/cashmere base, and some newcomers on The Beast, Alcott and Hawthorne.
There’s still time to get in on our Spring Out of Winter Eun Sweater Make-A-Long! This modern, comfy sweater is a great layering piece to bridge that chilly space between winter and spring. Click here to get your preorder in right away.
Also, if you’re in Central Florida, you’re invited to our little Yarn Party welcoming the Bay Area Knitting Guild’s Annual Yarn Crawl to Needleworks on Saturday, February 3rd.

Fiber friends are the best friends! Thanks for being a part of our yarn community, and we’ll be back next week for more updates and adventures!
Hey there friend!
Do you remember that cute hat pattern that we included in our Advent Box last year?
It’s called the Holly Beanie and it was designed specifically for the box by my awesome friend Sarah Gross. (Psssst.. she also designed the Snow Days Beanie which I know you all love!)
Well I have a HUGE announcement to make:
Sarah has officially joined out team! Not only is she an amazing designer, she’s also an incredibly talented photographer and I feel so privileged to have her creating photos and videos that we can share all over social media!
That means that if you’ve been playing the “whose hands are knitting” game on our Instagram, there is now another set of hands to guess…
Is it Dawn’s hands? Katie’s? Or Sarah’s?
It’s getting harder to tell. ????
To celebrate Sarah joining our team, we’re hosting a knit-along for her newest design, the Holly Beanie!!
And we certainly couldn’t have a knit-along without discounts and prizes!
So, to kick things off, today and tomorrow ONLY grab the knit-along kit and get a FREE pom pom!
The kit includes everything you need to knit the Holly Beanie (just add the needles!):
– Holly Beanie PDF pattern
– 1 Ball Everyday Merino Superwash wool yarn (in your choice of color)
– 1 set Shortie Bamboo Cable needles
– 1 faux fur pom pom (in your choice of color)
We’ll whisk your kit off to you right away so that it will be in your hot little hands in time for our Cast On Party on February 19th.
Don’t get me wrong — I love winter. Cozy knitting opportunities abound, and I actually get to wear my sweaters. January is tough, though, and I can’t help looking forward to spring. So I’ve made a new batch of project bags with a eye toward bluer skies and budding flowers.
The large project bags are the perfect size for a sweater project. Each features a heavy cotton denim print with a water-resistant waxed canvas base, four inside pockets, and a ring for stitch markers and small tools. The zipper pouches are so sweet, and feature either pretty unicorns in a magical pastel meadow or warm honey colors and cute bumble bee zipper pulls. They’re perfect for a sock or accessory project. Each has a wide footprint for staying open while you work, and these are machine washable, too. They’re also great bags for makeup, organizing your cords and chargers, or any other bits and pieces that could use organizing.
Are you one of those magical people who can walk and knit at the same time? You might like one of my sockses boxes. Loop the handle over your wrist for knitting on the go. Like everything I make, they’re fully finished inside and out and handmade entirely by me.
Homesteading holds a special place in our hearts. Slow living, creating something from the soil, caring for land and a home — it is all so magical. These are gifts we often take for granted as we shop in grocery stores or online, but there is something so special about baking your very own bread, caring for animals, collecting fresh eggs, and watching things you plant grow! We have captured this magic in our Woolen Homestead collection. Complete with some of our favorites from the farm and homestead!
Did you know I spent much of my time on farms and homesteads? I spent much of my adult life volunteering on wildlife reserves, hobby farms, and even on larger farms in South Carolina. My PhD had me caring for cows, bulls, pigs, chickens — and I LOVED it! This collection holds a special place in my heart, remembering those wonderful mornings on the farm.
Colors are shown on our Merino/linen blend. The colors take a slightly weathered look, perfect for this collection, as linen will not absorb the dye and the Merino will. It is amazing feeling, with the soft Merino and the linen that provides that bit of extra coolness to any garment for the upcoming spring season.
Welcome to the mystery knit-along that’s most sensational, celebrational, and inspirational! This year’s Lyrical Knits MKAL celebrates all things Muppets — from Miss Piggy to the heckling Statler and Waldorf. The pattern is for a rectangular shawl with several different stitch patterns and a fun twist to the construction at the end.
It’s worked up in fingering-weight yarn with one main color and six mini skeins for contrasting colors, though you can certainly do it with fewer contrasting colors.
The first clue drops on March 1st, and those purchasing the pattern during the preorder period will receive a discount as well as a planning sheet with more info on the yarn and color requirements.
You all BLEW ME AWAY with your love of this sale! THANK YOU!!
I can’t wait to get the new spinning fiber and yarn bases in and stocked on the website. Stay tuned for that in the coming weeks!! Follow me on IG for more timely updates on new additions to the shop (@yarnjam).
