Hey fiber friends! Say hello to September’s featured yarn from Forbidden Fiber Co. This month, we are featuring these three colorways from their Outlander Collection:
-New World (blue)
-Lallybroch (green)
-Dragonfly in Amber (orange)
These are on a 100% SW Merino base with 231 yds/100g. It’s super soft and with that yardage the pattern options are endless. I have already found quite a few Outlander-inspired knit and crochet patterns that would go well with this yarn.
If you aren’t familiar with Stash Yarn Club, we are a monthly yarn subscription service. Each month we send you a 100g skein of yarn from our featured dyer in one of three colors (it will be a surprise which one you get) and some pretty awesome little extras to go with it. I can’t believe the summer is almost over, but I’m so happy to be in Autumn/Winter mode. This week I’m thinking way ahead to the holidays by opening our first preorders of the season.
The Spooky Holiday Advent-style Calendar preorders are live as of this morning and will be available until August 24th, 11:59pm ET.
Much like the October calendars, this kit will be inspired by all that is creepy and unsettling during the holiday season, such as dark, eerily silent snow covered forests, and frightening footsteps on your roof!
Kits will include 24 20g mini skeins, one full-sized 100g skein (both on our Tralala Sock Base), and a few extra goodies for you to enjoy, and will ship NO LATER than mid-November.
Don’t wait to order these kits, though. Spots are limited!

Hello there! It has been a while since I updated my shop with hand-dyed yarn. As you can imagine, I’m very excited about this update. Maybe because we are at the end of summer, and I felt the need of starting a new knitting project, but I didn’t want to start another Fall season without offering hand-dyed yarn in the shop.

Skills used in this adventure include cables, lace, and slipped stitches. The pattern is designed to be achievable for an advanced beginner or easy and quick for an intermediate to advanced knitter.
In the circle of your fellow knitters, you’ll find a welcoming space to share stories and photos from your hometown, mark your town on a collaborative map, share progress for each clue, find support from the designer from cast on to styling, and you’ll even receive a free pattern for finishing by the end of September!

I’ve sat down many times and can’t find a way to put into words what I’ve been feeling or how I plan to make changes. I’m angry and at a loss for words. So I’ve channeled my anger and frustration into my work. Meet Bleeding Heart and No More Thoughts and Prayers. These are part of my new collection Meaningful Action, this will be a permanent collection that I hope to continue to grow.
I choose the name Bleeding Heart because it reminded me of my little one. She’s very empathetic and feels and loves very strongly. I love that she has these traits and I do everything I can to encourage her and teach her it is not a fault to care strongly.????
25% from each skein sold of Bleeding Heart will be donated to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
25% from each skein sold of No More Thoughts and Prayers will be donated to Everytown for Gun Safety.
