Terrapin Fiberworks’ February Bookworm Club color is Dragonfire! This is a rich, jewel-toned, yet still fiery variegate that marries orange, burgundy, fuchsia, and gold. We are offering it across our usual eight plant-based, vegan yarn bases — organic cottons, linen blends, Tencel, and more!

This is our a la carte offering for the club — you do not need to be a subscriber to pick up a few skeins. 🙂 We are reading dragon-y books this month, so if you’ve finished Onyx Storm and are craving some more fire, you will get our e-digest of book suggestions to go with your yarn.

Join in the latest mystery knit-along with Lyrical knits: Only Yarn in the Building is an homage to “Only Murders in the Building,” a fun, intergenerational spoof on murder mysteries. The mystery pattern will be revealed in six clues, beginning on Feb. 21st.

For our 10 year anniversary this year I thought I should do something EPIC, crazy and wild., We are going to celebrate with not one,
not two,
not even three,
but four different Advents to choose from this year.

Our overall theme is Life’s a Beach and each option is beach themed to keep us thinking about warmer days during those long cold winter months.

As you can imagine, the planning of four Advents will be an adventure and I’m so looking forward to it. I will have an absolute maximum number for each because I will have to start dyeing them soon to leave enough time.

Each Advent will have completely different colors, with each being a traditional fade with lots of variegated and speckled colorways.

Use the code Advent25 for 10% off until 2/8.

I will do this a couple time throughout the year, so look for that if you want to order but can’t yet.

I am so excited for these Advents this year and I hope you are, too!

They will ship in October to beat the shipping rush.

Thank you so much in advance for all you support these past 10 years and I hope to keep doing this for at least another 10.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

A new cancer-related colorway will be released each month of 2025 in an effort to bring awareness and assist in raising funds for support.

Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and watch for the release of each featured cancer colorway monthly throughout the year. Together, let’s keep stitching for a cause and making a difference! 💙

Self-striping will be on the Third Vault website soon for an End of Month Update!

It’s been a while since I’ve done self-striping yarn… so they’re making a comeback. I’ve got the gradient self-stripings you’ve seen before and new ones soon to be revealed, alongside some fun gradient blanks. Keep your eyes peeled for the new colourways being revealed soon!

Terrapin Fiberworks’ vegan tea-themed yarn preorder is in its final weekend! This 14-color floral palette was much beloved through our 2024 monthly club last year, and we are thrilled to finally offer the colors all together. The preorder closes Sunday, January 19th, just a few days from now, so now is the time to pick out your yarn!

What’s new with this preorder? Plenty! We are offering 125g vegan sock sets — great options for gift knitting hats as well! We also have a new worsted weight of our Atlantic Mercerized Pima Cotton base, by popular request, and a new linen-cotton-tencel blend for light summer makes. Our two bonus colors, Cornflower and Tisane, would pair great together for a simple striped project.

We also have a collaboration with Tinker’s Hollow of Richmond, Virginia this year! Head over to their site Friday, January 17th at 8 PM to pick out a woodworked tea and turtle-themed strainer.

Click through to pick out your next spring yarn! We will be shipping by March 15, just in time for your first warm-weather cast-ons.

Bonus Stripes is a drop-shoulder sweater meant to be worn with lots of positive ease, for a comfy, casual, lightly-cozy layer.

This striped pullover is worked mostly flat, from the bottom up. The fronts and backs are worked separately, then seamed — allowing you to choose a fun and vibrant pop of color for the back of your sweater. The shoulders are joined with a visible three-needle bind-off, and the sleeves are picked up at the armhole and worked in the round.

I was inspired by some beautiful skeins of Murky Depths Yakima Fingering and Yakapaca to design this sweater — my very first published pattern!

Grab some smooth fingering weight and fluffy laceweight yarns and cast on your own Bonus Stripes today!

Come explore Montreal, Canada with us for a four-day Montreal Knitting Tour, taking place August 1-5, 2025.

We will explore old Montreal, with sightseeing, shopping, knitting, and more. Montreal is the largest city in the Quebec province, with its cobblestone streets in Old Montreal and historic architecture. Known for amazing food and culture, Montreal is like stepping into France without crossing the Atlantic.

We will visit the iconic Notre Dame Basilica, take in some art at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, explore a culinary adventure taking a Montreal food walking tour, and visit Maisonneuve Market for a French shopping experience. Montreal has incredible yarn stores that we will visit. Knitting classes will consist of creating knitwear inspired by our travels, and all levels of knitting can be accommodated. Hotel (four nights), admissions, knitting classes, seven meals included.

See our website for details and FAQs. We hope you will come explore with us next summer for an unforgettable adventure!
