Hi fiber friends!

My name is Morgan! I’m the creative behind Strawberry Blonde Fibers based in the beautiful state of Alaska.

I hand dye yarn, spin, weave & design knitting patterns.

I’m having a shop update on October 26th at 10am AKDT consisting of hand-dyed yarn, handspun art yarn as well as a new knitting pattern featured here called the “I Love Ewe Headband.”

If you like vibrant, colorful & painterly colorways & fun patterns, come by the shop & give me a follow on Instagram @strawberryblondefibers!

Happy Crafting!

Angela is a crafter who dances to the rhythm of creativity with nimble fingers and a mischievous sparkle in her eye. Also known as Faeriecrafty, she creates magic while nestled amidst a colourful maze of yarn skeins in her cozy abode.

Faeriecrafty’s stitch markers carry a story of their own. These tiny talismans, lovingly crafted by hand, bring an extra touch of magic to knitting projects. They’re each a miniature work of art; a fusion of colour, texture, and charm.

October may be my favorite month. Though I don’t see a lot of “crisp” days in Texas, I remember them growing up in the Northeast. When October rolls around I always lose myself in memories of cold winds on sunny days, blowing leaves, and of course, everything spooky.

These bags and stitch markers bring back those fun (if occasionally slightly creepy) memories of fall in New England for me. The Spooky Girls remind me of the Halloween costumes we used to make in high school, trying so hard to look cool. The crazy hair and grumpy expressions on the Ghastlies remind me of my Nana, whose birthday was on Halloween and who really leaned into her witchy alter-ego. The deep, bright colors of the stitch markers remind me of the colors at the cider mill near my childhood home, where you’d get smacked by the fresh apple smell the second you got close.

For now, I think I’ll turn up the air conditioning and put on a sweater, just to relive the memories. I hope you find something in this collection that brings autumn to life for you, too.

The October Update for Undercover Otter is what I like to call a hefty friend.

We’ve got a generous amount of Squirm Sock back online, as well as a great selection of semisolid colorways on our Neon Neppocalypse DK base.

Next to that, the colder weather (well, on this hemisphere) is calling for some thicker yarns, and since we all know I love a thicccccc boi, my personal favorite, Jump Scare DK, is back and ready to rock!

Jump Scare DK comes in a royal serving of 115 grams per skein and has a running length of 230 meters. It’s a DK-weight yarn with a high twist and has a lovely bouncy stitch definition (hence the name).

You can find all of these skeins, and extras, on the Undercover Otter website right now.

Some wonderful new craft books and supplies are now in the online shop! New titles in crochet and knitting, journaling through embroidery, lino printing, and more.

Complete needle punch kits from The Urban Acres are also available. There’s even a black cat, perfect to punch up in time for your Halloween decorating. No running around trying to find everything you need for this project — it’s all there in the kit, including links to video instructions. These kits are made for needle punch beginners.

Also new in the shop are a small selection of wool dyes from Wool Tincture Dyes. I have tried a few myself and the process is easy and fun. You can dye up to 200g with one dye packet, so perfect for some sock yarn or creating a special color for colorwork. I had some leftover undyed skeins in my stash and I decided to dye one in a bright red for a colorwork winter-themed sweater.

I’m so excited about the new Red Hen Tote Bags! They are made in a sturdy cotton canvas and feature a fun design to remind you of the folktale of the Little Red Hen. You can make it yourself and enjoy the rewards of your own hard work.

The change of seasons is always an exciting time for me as a crafter, knitter, sewist, etc. The promise of new projects and even pulling out old projects from last year and finishing those. How about you?
