NEW – American Sourced 100% Wool Throws
The perfect sustainable gift! FARM FRESH Wool Throw Blankets – made from our super soft 18-micron Rambouillet wool that was grown on USA family-owned farms. It was spun into yarn by a fourth-generation family woolen mill in Michigan, then sent to another family woolen mill in Prince Edward Island, Canada, to be woven into luscious throw blankets. The blankets are 52″ X 76″ and are white with a stunning black tweed stripe 4″ stripe down the length. This blend of black and white presents as a charcoal grey.
One Throw Blanket = 11 bales of hay for the flock
(Our critters consume 14 bales of locally-grown hay per day from October-May when our pastures are resting. Your support puts hay in the barn and employs both the Mitchell team and the local hay grower.)

Their mission is to support the American wool effort through planet-supportive conscious craft. MWC’s breed-specific, non-Superwash yarns are exclusively dyed with plants and food waste. The flocks both on their own farm as well as those they partner with are humanely raised with loving care. MWC emphatically rejects the practice of mulesing. They support small farms across the country by buying their fleeces at ethical rates and they employ the local community with a fair living wage. All partners that work with Mitchell Wool are held to this same standard so that you can enjoy conscious craft through a sense of devoted community.
