Most of you may know Katie (though you don’t know it).

Her official title is Social Media Coordinator, but really, she’s my girl Friday.

She’s the one I turn to to bounce ideas off of.

She helps me test new products and keeps me updated on all the news around the knitting world.

October Vincent van Gogh Preorders

Preorders are now open for the October colorway of my Vincent van Gogh Yarn club! This month is based off of “Wheat Field with Cypresses,” a landscape painted later in van Gogh’s life. It features golds, greens and blues to truly represent this iconic landscape.

These orders come with your yarn and an art fact card. If you want all the fun goodies, you must subscribe to my monthly subscription.

You may preorder as many skeins as you wish from the selected bases. Preorders will end on October 22nd to give me enough time to dye and ship packages.

The heat has finally broken here in southeast Texas. I couldn’t be more ready! Of course I’m stash diving and planning all the sweaters I’m going to start knitting. My shop is full of gorgeous project bags for your next sweatah weathah project, too! As always, each is fully lined, has a waxed canvas base, and comes with pockets and a ring for your stitch markers and small tools. Let’s add a little attitude! Our newest offerings include two sassy new tag options. All of our tags are created from cork. This fair trade renewable resource is washable. The words are etched in and will not fade.

The first is paired with a beautiful colorwork sweater sample from my friends at Shirsty Cat. With the gift-giving season just around the corner, these Sweater Tags are a cute and easy way to ensure your gift gets worn as intended. With these sew-on cork tags, all you need is a little bit of scrap yarn to provide subtle guidance.

The second pays homage to all the time, love, and perseverance we pour into our fiber arts. My Made With Love and Swear Words Tags give you the option to hide your sass or wear it loud and proud. They’re shown here on one of my favorite colorways from my friends at Allegheny Fiber Arts.

Fiordifelce, a magical design

Fior di Felce means Fern Flower in Italian. I know that ferns don’t produce flowers, but there’s a popular legend about a magical fern flower that blooms only once a year at midnight. Whoever finds it will get supernatural powers, like infinite knowledge or invisibility.

Fiordifelce is a top-down triangular shawl covered in a filigree of leaves and flowers on a dark background, mixing colorwork and Japanese lace.

Happy Socktober!

We’ve waited all summer for cooler temps and the weather guy promises they are coming to Florida. Meanwhile, the rest of you are out there enjoying your fall leaves, and fire pits and pumpkin spice everything. We are a little jealous!

But Socktober is here! We’ve got super sock sets in so many bases and so many colors for you. We’ll be celebrating socks all month long in October! Next weekend we’ll be hosting Socktastic Saturday at Needleworks, our Community Crafting space.
