Stitch markers, progress keepers, row counters, and even needle reminders are live in the shop!

My 4-year-old (who is convinced she is going to be a “princess geologist” when she grows up) challenged me a couple of weeks ago to make rocks and stones out of clay – after a few false starts, I was able to come up with some really cool new designs!

Stitch markers come in sets of four and you can let me know when you order if you want any of the ring stitch markers replaced with lobster clasps to create progress keepers.

Plus, the unique row counters can count up to 100 rows! Simply use your row counter in place of a stitch marker, and move down a ring every time you start/complete a new row. You can keep track of your “10s” by moving the included progress keeper down the rings. Pretty cool, right?

Each pair is completely one of a kind and handcrafted with love (aka with copious amounts of coffee, and the occasional night cap!).

My shop also features spunky knitting patterns and fun fiber fanatic t-shirts! Stop on by and check everything out!

Hi there,
I am happy to announce that my next shop update will be on March 27th at 8pm EDT.

This update will consist of mostly large drawstring bags (20!) and one or two other sizes. You will also notice that I brought back some of the designs from the previous update and of cause, new color combos and designs, think spring colors!

Why I like the large drawstring bag:
Opens wide and stands up
Waxed canvas bottom
Wide drawstring channel that will keep work secure
Shoulder length straps
Big enough fo a SWEATER quantity of yarn

Happy Spring!

Hi, I’m Sophie, the dyer from Botanical Yarn, based in York, UK! I’ve created an aqua to lilac exclusive mini skein fade set especially for the Indie Untangled Across the Pond event this weekend. I’m a crazy plant lady, and at last count have 316 house plants, and I’m inspired by unusual plants and flowers to dye my colourways, hence some of my unusual names for my yarns!

I also love mini skeins and the possibilities that they can bring. The exclusive fade set that I’ve created comes with 10 minis, which can be used to make various projects, including shawls, hats and garments, or a blanket to keep you warm whilst crafting!

I will be live during Indie Across the Pond from 3 p.m. CET this Friday, Saturday and Sunday — make sure you’re registered, as you will also get a coupon code for 10% off purchases over £75 ! — and feel free to book a personal shopping appointment with me, as I would be very happy to help you pick colours for your next project! You can follow me on instagram here.

Teton Yarn Company has launched their new website featuring new Spring Colors of Mountain Sock, Glacier Sock and Rainier Fingering Lace to brighten your spring knitting.

Glacier Sock features soft, luxurious yak that adds depth and warm undertones to the colors while adding a touch of nylon to hold up for socks but still soft for shawls and garments.

Rainier Fingering Lace is a heavy-weight, 6-ply European 100% Superwash Merino. Coming in 150 grams skein with 822 yards, these skeins are generous for the perfect lace shawl to wear during the warmer months. The springy merino shows off lace stitches beautifully and holds its shape to show off your hard work.

Teton Yarn Company is a celebration of yarn, color and the Grand Tetons. Teton Yarn Company creates hand dyed beautiful yarns inspired by living and knitting in the Tetons. All yarns are hand dyed in my dye studio in the heart of Teton Valley, Idaho. I dye small batches of one of kind variegated multi-color colorways and a rainbow of tonal colorways for the fiber artist.

I’m excited to share that I’ve partnered with Anzula Luxury Fibers in the creation of a new MKAL to celebrate the start of spring. Cavorting With Colors will be a playful piece combining colorful yarns and winding cables. We’ll be casting on April 16th, so there’s plenty of time to prepare!

For this event, we’ll be joyfully joining together four colors of Anzula Squishy — one full-sized skein and splashes of color from a trio of minis — to create our “triangle-ish” shawls. We’ve put together three unique kits covering a variety of preferred palettes: Garden Pond, Stepping Stones, and Flower Garden. Along with your four colorways of Anzula Squishy, you’ll also receive a free copy of the MKAL pattern and a special set of end minders to help you along the way. Have you picked out your color palette for our April 16th cast-on?

If you’d prefer to dance through your stash and create your own dazzling set, you can get the pattern 50% off through our start date of April 16th with COLORSMKAL50 as your code! Pattern is linked at the bottom of the Cavorting with Colors MKAL Kit description.

This is the best time of year — the excitement of the annual garden cleanup, ordering seeds and dahlias, taking the first pictures outdoors. The glory of warm sunny days and impatience on the cold ones. Moving the clock forward. This year is extra sweet, as we all anticipate life slowly returning to normal after this long hibernation.

We’re having our first 60-degree days this week and I’ve already started cleaning the bearded iris beds and scanned the early daffodils poking up through the snow remnants. It’s the perfect time to release a new group of colors that capture the season — cool, pale neutrals; warm, sunny colors that aren’t too saturated — colors that match the early growth already commencing.

Six new colors of Harbour Singles fingering and five of Triton MCN DK are live in the shop. From the soft fatigue green of Stone Cold and icy clear lemon of Zest, to the soft, warm coral of Collins Ave and the traditional Delft blue of Cornflower, the possibilities for combining and fading these abound.

Is there mohair, you ask? Of course! There are even four new colors in Sparkle sock. Now I’m on the lookout for the first robins of the year and all will be momentarily right with the world.

Hang in there, my friends. Hopefully we will be able to see each other again by the fall.
