You know how it is: you’re working on a crochet project, and then you set it down or put it in “time out” for a while, but the crochet hook was separated from the project. You pick it up, and now you can’t remember which hook you were using! You can guess, but that might turn out to be a mistake.

So instead, use one of these identifier markers on your project! Each marker is on a gold lever-back earring hook, which will lock in place, so it won’t come out of your project. The clasp should fit on almost all yarns, up to super bulky! The numbers denote the METRIC SIZE of the crochet hook! Sizes available are 3.25mm, 3.5mm, 3.75mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm, 5.5mm, 6mm, 6.5mm, and 8mm.

You can order in sets of three or sets of five — mix and match what sizes you want, or you can order the set of ALL TEN sizes!

And if you need CUSTOM sizes made for you as an add-on to your set, you can get those too!

I am excited to share with you Pickwick, inspired by my love of cables and a charming village near my hometown. This was a design that had been waiting in my sketchbook for the perfect time. With Pickwick, I had the opportunity to design with a brand new base, Intrepid, from Miss Babs. This yummy 100% Targhee Wool was a dream to knit with! I am excited to share the Pickwick release as part of the Miss Babs 2023 Winter Collection.

ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION:
Pickwick is knit from the top down with short row shaping at the back neckline and a raglan sleeve construction. The body is knit in stockinette stitch to the hem where you finish with a rib and cable pattern. During construction the sleeves are placed on hold to return to later. When back to the sleeves, it’s stockinette and an elegant cable and rib finale. The final fit has some positive ease and it rests at or just below your waistband.

This is a great project for daring beginners to advanced knitters looking to expand their timeless handmade wardrobe.

THE LITTLE DETAILS:
Designed for worsted/Aran-weight yarn. All your yardage info and a full schematic are available in the Lookbook.

For me, Pickwick is that classic garment in the sweater wardrobe that will never fade out of rotation. I can’t wait to see your versions soon! Please enjoy 20% off with code PICKWICK20 at checkout (on Ravelry or my website). Happy Making!

Risonanze is worked sideways from side to side, with side increases to form a tip on the front. When the piece reaches the necessary length, live stitches are joined with the CO end using Kitchener stitch.

The main feature of this lovely and soft cowl is the filigree colorwork: a fun and easy way to knit colorwork and cables together, with a subtle and striking effect at the same time.

There is a 25% discount until Saturday 25 at 18:00 EST using the code risonanze.

It’s a new month and time for a new color in my “Vincent van Gogh” yarn club! This month I am featuring the early, yet well known, painting titled “The Potato Eaters.” This painting features rich tones of black, brown and green and so does this yarn! These photos do no justice to just how deep the browns and golds in this skein are!

If you wish to preorder a skein or two or five, you must place the order by February 22nd, which still gives me time to dye and ship before the end of the month. This package comes only with yarn and the fact card about the art. If you want ALL the fun stuff, you need to subscribe for $45 a month at my website.

We’ve got a rich colorway this week that we know you’ll love! Caledonia was the latin name bestowed upon the area of Britain that lies north of the River Forth, i.e. Scotland. It’s a romantic name that conjures all the mystery and intrigue of the country and this colorway captures it perfectly! Our colorway was originally named for the color of the train, the Caledonia Sleeper, that we rode when the Yarny Ewes travelled to Scotland and now, it can be yours! Caledonia is available on a number of bases, so snag your favorite!

Due to popular (and loud!) demand, we’re reopening the Bee Keeper’s Quilt Club this week for a short time! This monthly subscription nets you a beautiful, exclusive colorway each month on your choice of two bases, a private Facebook group, premium bee-themed goodies and more as we trek towards our final goal of a completed hexie blanket. Positive reviews abound for this club and we hope you’ll join in the fun! Learn all the details online.
