Hi, I’m Sandy! I create designer buttons, closures and beads for fiber artists. All buttons and closures are handmade with copper and enamel. I also do custom sizes and motifs.
Artisans and designers will post here when they’re about to stock their online stores with new goodies, if they’re having a special sale, opening sign-ups for yarn clubs or releasing a pattern.
Visit the Indie Untangled blog every Friday, where we’ll list the shop updates, sales and events coming up that week. Sign up for the newsletter to have that list sent straight to your inbox.

The Yarnover Truck’s Super Nerdy Yarn Club has hit its halfway point and is once again open to new members until Friday, February 12th! This club, partnering with Forbidden Fiber Co., takes inspiration from strong female nerdy characters across a variety of different fandoms and creates beautiful hand-dyed yarns. You get your choice of two fingering-weight bases for your club colors — one with sparkles and one without. Three colors have already been shipped but if you join now, you can order those colors too so you won’t miss out any of the fun! Get all the details and sign up on our website!
Sarah Thornton’s Vaunt Shawl in the Winter 2020 issue of Knitty grabbed our attention right away: we love how she used her hand spun with a commercial yarn for a stunning striped effect.
We’ve put together yarn packs for this shawl with our 100% Shetland wool. We chose a strong neutral as the background and trellis edging and all our bright primary colors in the stripes.
Each yarn pack has three 50-gram skeins of the background color (choose from Bark or Bramble) and five 12.5-gram skeins of the stripe colors.
In addition to the free pattern from Knitty, you’ll need: US size 3 (3.25 mm) circular needle, 32-40″ (or size to get gauge given in pattern; two removable stitch markers; yarn needle. Blocking wires are optional but recommended.
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer Mystery Yarn Club is finally here! I’ve been wanting to share my love of Buffy for a long time now, and what better time to kick it off than Jilly & Kiddles’ second birthday, right? This club will be centered around the slayers of the series: Buffy, Kendra, and Faith AND fiber. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve cooked up and how everything ties in together as we explore these iconic characters from one of my very favorite TV shows.
This will be a three month mystery yarn club, and shipping within the U.S. is included. Each month you’ll receive a skein of fingering weight yarn, a set of custom Buffy/Yarn-themed goodies by DKGraham, and some other fun extras I’ve been planning out for a while. If you’ve ordered one of my clubs before, you know I always strive to provide a great value, and this is no exception. Let’s have some fun merging two awesome things: our love of fiber and our favorite cult classic series! Orders open 2/4 and close on 2/22; after that they will no longer be available. There will be a limited number of club memberships available and orders will close early if they sell out.
Each of the three monthly club installments includes:
— 100-gram skein of an EXCLUSIVE Buffy-inspired colorway in Jilly & Kiddles fingering weight yarn (bases may vary each month)
— A different custom THEMED notions set each month by DKGraham
— TWO more surprise themed extras
— Shipping is INCLUDED within the U.S.
— Each monthly shipment will be valued OVER $50
If you are outside of the U.S. and would like to order, I’m happy to help with that! Please email me directly for an estimate of additional shipping costs prior to purchasing.
Shipping dates for the club:
1st Shipment: Buffy kit ships April 15th
2nd Shipment: Kendra kit ships May 15th
3rd Shipment: Faith kit ships June 15th
This club has been in the works for quite some time, and I’m so excited to share it with you! I’ve spent a long time finding all the perfect items to include in the shipments and I know you’re going to love it. Plus, Kirstan of DKGraham really knocked it out of the park with her custom-themed goodies, because she’s a huge fan of the show too! She REALLY knows how to incorporate yarny fun with pop culture and it wows me every time. We’re totally geeking out about it. You don’t want to miss out on this one. And if you aren’t familiar with the show, no worries — I share two places you can watch it on the product page in my shop. Take a peek now before you forget…
Welcome to the Fiber Coven Full Moon Club, a curated witchy knitting kit and ritual themed to each month’s Full Moon for all of 2021. This is a preorder that gets you the second Quarter’s club deliveries. All months will be shipped at once in mid-March in one package.
Quarter Two 2021
April – Pink Moon, exercising creativity
May – Flower Moon, basking in nature
June – Strawberry Moon, practicing self love
Each month is an individually packaged kit and sealed with a custom wax seal to persevere the surprise! The second photo shows January’s Wolf Moon kit to give you an example of the kind of the things you can expect. You will not receive any of the exact items in this kit, it is just an example of previous month’s clubs!
Every month includes the following:
– One 20g fingering weight mini skein of yarn hand dyed by Lauren of Valkyrie Fibers in a special colorway dyed just for this club
– One spell pouch knitting pattern designed by Emily of Kitty With A Cupcake to be used with the included mini skein if desired. You will receive a Ravelry download code in your package to get your pattern PDFs. Each month’s spell pouch will be themed to the name of the Full Moon for that month. The bags will be various shapes and use various knitting techniques. Bags could also be used for crystals, dice, headphones, notions, or whatever you want!
– One tea light, made with 100% USA grown soy and hand poured by Emily in a phthalate-free scent themed to that month’s moon theme
– Intention setting ritual printed on a postcard themed to that month
– Extra surprises! We don’t want to give away all the surprises but to give you an idea these could be things like handmade art, notions, tea, handspun, or items needed for the ritual like crystals, tea, herbs, etc, or notions to use in the patterns like buttons, charms, stitch markers, etc.
Rituals are being planned by Emily of Kitty With A Cupcake and will all be secular, non-deity-specific, intention setting rituals. The idea is that you could perform each ritual on the Full Moon for that month. Even if you are just getting into witchcraft or haven’t fully embraced it yet the activities included in the club will be useful and fun for you too!
Lauren is planning a soft but grungy matching aesthetic so all of the minis will look nice together. If you’re wanting a shawl instead of spell pouches, Emily will release a mini skein shawl pattern later this year that will be free to whoever joins the whole year worth of clubs. Members of the Fiber Coven Patreon will be able to test knit the shawl if desired.
Additionally we’re throwing a little bit of luck into the mix! Each quarter we will have a couple lucky winners. One person will receive one FULL 100g skein of yarn in that month’s colorway and another person will receive one FULL 4 oz candle in that month’s scent!
We are also running a Knit-Along for The Full Moon Club! Post your finished spell pouch projects on Ravelry and if you complete the whole quarter you will be entered in a drawing to win the next quarter’s kits for FREE! Join our Fiber Coven Patreon too for a whole Discord Channel to discuss the club with fellow Coven members! Plus, Coven members get early access to Emily’s upcoming Waxing Moon shawl pattern which is the perfect pattern to use with 20g mini skein advent calendars!
I opened Amy’s Trinket Shop in June of 2020. The endeavor continues to be a source of joy and excitement for me, and I love making trinkets, shopping for beads and charms to expand my designs and offerings, and exploring the fiber industry from this new angle! The support of friends, family, and fellow knitters all contribute to my enjoyment and success, and continue to make Amy’s Trinket Shop a labor of knitter-fueled love!
I sell direct through my Etsy shop, as well as through various consignment or wholesale relationships. For 2021, I look to keep growing as a small business, continue collaborating with other shops and businesses in the fiber industry, and continue producing more trinkets that bring smiles and joy to knitters in creative ways. More recently, I’ve been hard at work making a line of Valentine’s trinkets and have started working on themed designs for St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.
Please be sure to favorite Amy’s Trinket Shop for the latest updates and information on new products and designs. Custom orders are accepted and gift wrapping is available upon request. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Several years ago, my college roommates and I took a spur of the moment trip to Sedona, Arizona to escape our busy lives for a couple of days. We stayed on a horse ranch and hiked to our hearts’ content.
This beautiful, oversized, three color wrap reminds me of the gorgeous sunrises that awaited us every morning. The shawl is worked from the center out, and mosaic work makes the complicated easy—only one color is worked at a time! Happy knitting!
The pattern has written instructions for the garter stitch sections and has charted instructions for the mosaic sections, and there is a schematic to help guide the knitter.
True black. Cinnamon red. Stormy gray. Sunny fawn.
That’s just a small sample of the array of natural fleece colors produced by alpacas. According to the Alpaca Owner’s Association, the spectrum of colors can be sorted into 16 standard hues!
At Gothfarm Yarn, we often use alpaca fleece to add a pop of color to our yarns. As an added benefit, alpaca adds a delightfully soft handle, with alpaca having a smoother feel than wool fibers of a similar width.
We currently have four alpaca blend yarns:
1. Arkose: Cinnamon red alpaca + White Rambouillet Merino wool
2. Aswan: Cinnamon red alpaca + Jacob sheep wool
3. Carbonado: True black alpaca + Gotland sheep wool + East Friesian sheep wool
4. Ultisol: Cinnamon red alpaca + Zwartbles sheep wool (also available as a roving!)
We don’t use dyes or synthetic materials in our yarns. Instead, we opt for undyed fleeces – and embrace the natural colors and textures they offer. And we love drawing on the natural rainbow available in alpaca fleece. We’ll be releasing more alpaca yarn in more colors later this year, so stay tuned!

New in the shop are these fun, DK-weight mini sets! Each set comes with five minis, one tie-dyed, one speckle-dyed, and three tonals. The sets are 230 yards total, so you can use one set to make your favorite DK-weight pattern into a fun striped project. The tweed adds to the fun of these sets and the Merino is super soft! Order yours and have this unique mini set for your next project!
We’re preparing for Valentine’s Day with a shop update full of gorgeous new colorways, and opening just 6 spots in our February Fiber Gallery Club which will be inspired by the very cupid-day colors of John Singer Sargent’s painting Mrs. Hugh Hammersly. If you love love, or if you just love gorgeous rich colors, you’ll want to snag some skeins for yourself. Who says your favorite Valentine can’t come from you? Yarn last so much longer than flowers or chocolates!
